ACT 1



Opening scene - Aunt Eller at work on the farm

'Oh What A Beautiful Morning'
Aunt Eller gets startled by Curly

Oh Curly! You're sooooo handsome



Curly tells Aunt Eller that he will take her to the Box Social

Laurey gets an invite to the Box Social whilst Curly sings
'The Surrey With The Fringe On The Top'



Laurey seems impressed at the thought of being in a hurry on Curly's surrey

Laurie and Curly



'Hush you birds my baby's a-sleeping'
Laurey takes a nap whilst Curly dreams of the surrey



The guys enter the proceedings for the
first time just as Curly is leaving

'They call it the Little Wonder'
Never has a kaleidoscope meant so much to so many

'Then I put my ear to a Bell telephone'
Will expains how far things have come in 'Kansas City'

'And that's about as far as I can go'
Will sets Aunt Eller's head spinning with some nifty footwork

Will and the dancers trip the light fantastic in 'Kansas City'

Will enjoying the high life - closing scene to 'Kansas City'

If looks could kill!!! Curly bids farewell to Laurey
following the reprise of Surrey with the Fringe on the Top

Aunt Eller tries to cheer Laurey up after her rebuff of Curly

Laurey tells Ado Annie that Will is back in town. The news goes down a treat.

'There'll never be no one like Will. There'll never be no one like Ali Hakim neither'
Ado Annie seems a little confused

Having no soap in his bag, Ali Hakim sells Laurey 'The Elixir of Egypt'

Ali Hakim attempts to sell his wares to Aunt Eller. Red is so your colour

Living it up at the Hotel Oklahoma
'Upstairs is Paradise' 'Oh, I thought they was bedrooms'

Will Parker arrives on the scene with some good old country boy fun

Will meets Ali Hakim for the first time
Ado Annie is a passenger at this moment

Will tempts Ado Annie with a little 'kissy' but
the girl who can't say no, says 'No'

Will turns on the charm but will Ado Annie be able to resist?

The ladies enter the scene for the first time

Laurey sings 'Many a New Day' to prove that she is not besotted with Curly

The Girls conclude 'Many a New Day'

The Bounty Hunter returns (along with some funny bunnies)

Andrew Carnes is 'delighted' to meet his forthcoming Son-in-Law
and the gun poised by his side indicates just how please he is

'Mrs Ali Hakim. Oh wait till I tell the girls at Bushyheath'
It looks like Ado Annie has got her man (one of them)

'Trapped. Tricked. Hoodwinked. Hambushed'
Ali Hakim looks forward to his pending marriage

'Friend what's on your mind? Why do you walk around and around?'
Gents chorus scraping the bottom of their vocal range!

'It's getting so you can't have any fun, every daughter has a father with a gun'
Ali Hakim contemplates his latest shotgun wedding proposal

'We've got to start a revolution' but we better ask our wives first
Equality even existed back at the turn of the last century

Domestic abuse comes to HODC - Ann, did no one

Gertie lets out another ear-piercing scream
Laura, you were brilliant.

Laurey and Curly try to hide their feelings

A masterclass in the art of black comedy
Gordon and Roland in the superb 'Pore Jud is Daid'

this filthy hole, festering the way you do'
Curly tells Jud about himself

Jud explodes following a barrage of abuse from Curly
The single gun shot brought the audience to attention

Take aim! Fire! The scream in the audience!
No one was hurt in the filming of this scene

'See that knot hole over there? Well it was one of those'
Curly, looking pleased with himself, explains to Aunt Eller
what has been going on

Jud singing in the 'Lonely Room' - the spellbound audience never made a sound

The troubled Jud makes up his mind that he will make Laurey his girl

What can I say? On behalf of the whole club, Gordon,
this was a truly outstanding performance and the hairs stand
on my neck every time I hear it

Laurey takes a breath of the smelling salts and chokes on the fumes
Gertie shrieks 'That'll be the camfer'

Kate and Laura duet on 'Out of your dreams'

The ladies chorus urge Laurey to 'Make up your mind'



A confused Laurey hopes that here recent purchase
'The Elixir of Egypt' will help her make up her mind



Laurey falls into a deep sleep having inhaled Ali Hakim's Potion
Soon she will see everything much clearer

ACT 2



D'ya know howze to dozzy doe - We do, we do
Cast start the second act with 'The Farmer and the Cowman'



Kicking up a storm - line dancing comes to Hamilton Town House



'One man likes to push a plough, the other likes his butter and cheese'
Ladies and Gentlemen, let me introduce you to the Ploughman's Lunch



'They came out West and built a lot of fences'
'And built them right across our cattle ranges'



Aunt Eller brings us all to our senses with another gunshot



'Sing it Andrew - Dum diddy um tum tum'
Aunt Eller convinces Andrew Carnes that this
is not the place for a set too

The farmer and the Dancer should also be friends

'Yeeha!! the guys strut their stuff in 'The Farmer and the Cowman'

Does this belong to wee Willy (Winky) Parker?
Ali Hakim samples the fashions of Kansas City

Andrew Carnes encourages Ali Hakim to 'Bid a dollar'
but he can only manage '90 cents'

'You promised me that I could get Ado Annie if I had 50 dollars'
but Andrew Carnes reminds Will that he has just bid his money

'And what do you get for your 51 dollars?'
Ali Hakim looks forward to a 'three-day belly ache'

Jud 'convinces' Cord Elam that his bid is as high as it gets
Will 6 dollars AND TWO BITS be enough to win Laurey's basket?

Curly enters the bidding
'How much did you say. Well I don't reckons that quite enough'



'I bid everything I got, every penny a worked
for for two years, all for Laurey'
Jud raises the stakes higher and higher

'You can't sell your gun cos' you need that. Oh yes sir, you need that bad'
The bidding for Laurey's hamper gets out of control

Jud grudgingly accepts defeat with a menacing glare

'Say somethin' purty'
Will works his charm on Ado Annie

'With me it's all or nuthin'
Will sets the ground rules with Ado Annie

Paul and Emma 'skipping and a-jumping'

'Hey that's Persian'
An angry Will gives Ado Annie a piece of his (tiny) mind



The end of 'All or Nuthin' and Will gives Ado Annie a lift

'I remember everything you ever done'
Jud finally opens his heart to Laurey

'You're such a fine lady' Jud finally snaps
when Laurey spurns his advances

The fired Jud gets nasty (or is that nastier)

'Golly Lord! Go ahead and cry your eyes out'
Curly provides a more-than-willing shoulder to cry on

Can you tell us Betty was this a one, a two or a four bar kiss?

Things might have become too hot to handle
but fortunately the stove was turned off

Laurey and Curly confess their love for
each other and make plans for their future

Curly announces to the world that
'Laurey Williams is my girl and she's just got me to ask her to marry her'

'Let people say we're in love'
Roland and Julie's superb duet

'Goodbye my baby, it's time for the poor
lonely Gypsy to go back to the open road'

'Let me show you how we say goodbye in my country'
Ali Hakim shows that he is an expert in the art of the 'Persian Goodbye'

'One Persian Goodbye is never enough'
Will thinks it's one too many

Ado Annie half way through an 'Oklahoma Hello'
Well done Paul, you only dropped Suzanne once!!!

Ado Annie's feet hardly touch the ground

The happy couple emerge as 'Newly Weds'

'A-yip-a-yip-a-yeah'
'We're doing fine, Oklahoma, Oklahoma, Ok'

The end of the 'Oklahoma Chorus' and
whisper it quietly; Betty says she like it

The boys plan a 'Shiveree' for Laurey and Curly

The recently wed Gertie Hakim stuns Ado Annie

Ali Hakim contemplates a 'life sentence'
'We've been married 4 weeks but with a laugh like that
it should be a Golden wedding'

The Cat Fight
Gertie and Ado Annie buckle down to a 'sqwer-go'

'What you doin' down there ya' bunch of pig stealers'
Aunt Eller goes up in the world

'Hey Laurey, I've a Girl baby for you'
'And a baby boy', 'Twins'

The knife culture comes to Oklahoma
Jud and Curly fight to a finish in ' No Mean City'

Jud meets an untimely end, falling onto his own knife

Aunt Eller comforts a distraught Laurey on her Wedding Night

'I feel funny'
Marshall Cord Elam tries to stop the trial

'Well why did you do it'
Judge Carnes takes Curly through justice, 'Oklahoma' style

'Oh shut up about being a Marshall'
Ike Skidmore's youthful exuberance wins the day

Will and Ado Annie come to an agreement
'We had a misunderstanding but Will explained it fine'

Come on down, you're chariot awaits
